About Us

Who We Are

Cedar Grove Plantation is located in Historic New Kent, Virginia and was the home of the late First Lady Letitia Christian Tyler, wife of our 10th president John Tyler. The couple was married here at the plantation March 29, 1813; Mrs. Tyler is buried with some of her children in the cemetery here.

The Large Georgian Style brick home has been fully restored. Most of the original plantation buildings are still in existence. Plans for future exciting events that will open the plantation to the public are under way! Call (804)512.0849 today to schedule your wedding, family reunion or other special event.
