Cedar Grove Plantation is located in Historic New
Kent, Virginia and was the home of the late First
Lady Letitia Christian Tyler, wife of our 10th president
John Tyler. The couple was married here at the plantation
March 29, 1813; Mrs. Tyler is buried with some of
her children in the cemetery here.
The Large Georgian Style brick home has been fully restored. Most of the original plantation buildings are still in existence. This Summer
Cedar Grove Stables offers a summer
horse back riding camp.
Hours of operation will be from 8 am to 5 pm Monday
thru Friday.
Campers will enjoy five (5) days of intense hands-on
experience in every aspect of horse care. Campers
will also have an opportunity to experience a host
of other exhilarating activities, which include
canoeing on the pond, hiking, and gardening.
Cedar Grove's Summer Horse Camp
is limited to 10 campers per week
so sign up early!!!

Cedar Grove Stables is proud to be home of the Roxbury Riders 4-H in New Kent, VA.
Membership is open to youths and adults of all ages who are interested in beginner to advanced level horseback riding.
Members meet the first Wednesday of every
month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Cedar Grove Stables
camp building.
All are welcome!

any, are billed at market price. (Monthly boarding
fees may be increased to compensate for additional
labor costs when applicable.)
Farrier services are billed upon occurrence.
